Activity Report - January 2024

The shelter dogs made it through the senseless New Year's fireworks reasonably unscathed. I find some dogs outside the shelter in the morning but can easily bring them back. Over the next few days, I have to repeatedly collect dogs found outside. However, the metal sheet fences have become so hole-ridden that interior fences urgently need to be installed. This eventually happens with the construction of an additional sixty meters of chain-link fence in the middle of the month.

Despite the complete fencing in the farthest area, Maggie continues to find her way outside. Eventually, I give in to her will and provide for her right next to the rear section of the shelter. Maggie now enjoys her freedom and doesn't run away.

Jack's medication with Doxycycline and Ferric is successfully continued. In the middle and end of the month, I visit the dogs at Wat Amparahm. There I supply the helpers who feed the dogs with dry food and rice. During my end-of-month visit, I miss Kofi and Jingo. I hope they are only temporarily absent.
