Due to dogs constantly escaping in certain areas where the deteriorating metal sheets are beyond repair, new interior fences have been installed at the beginning of the month along a 50-meter stretch to address the key problem areas.
Roshi, whose condition had worsened in the past week, goes to Jutta but unfortunately passes away in the middle of the month under her care. Carla and Cora, the two puppies I adopted from Beppe last month, are thriving and have been accepted by the dogs in the house.
Distemper is spreading in the vicinity of Mabprachan 7/11. Several dogs succumb to the infection throughout the month. Two dogs I took to the clinic could not be saved. Just before the year-end, I find Avira, one of my temple dogs, near death. She too was infected with distemper and couldn't be saved.
Towards the end of the month, I discover that dogs have once again escaped from the shelter. The recently reinforced sections held up, but new vulnerabilities have emerged. Additional interior fences will need to be installed in the coming month.
