Activity Report - October 2023

All three dogs who could receive treatment thanks to Michael's financial support are now healed and back in their familiar surroundings. Lai has completed the six-week TVT treatment, Dang has overcome the effects of amputation, and Tualek's deep back wound has healed well. The last remaining dog from Wat Yang Yai has been sterilized.

My shelter dog Luna has completed a six-week Doxy/Ferric treatment. Kenji's treatment is also finished. Merlin and Jake's Doxy/Ferric treatment will continue. Tinka, who couldn't walk for two weeks after being bitten by a centipede, is now fully mobile. Tessa has been sterilized. She has recovered from the bone splintering and is walking normally again.

The last week of the month caused me several problems and concerns. Dogs escaped from two of the rear areas, but I was able to bring them back fairly quickly. Tina, who had been spending a lot of time in the area where Victor, Dahn, and Talib live for weeks, was bitten to death. I suspect it was Talib, as a few days later, he intruded into the area with the black puppies and killed his brother, Jomo. Both incidents occurred when I wasn't at the shelter.

Talib had previously displayed aggressive behavior towards his brothers, Kito and Norbu, which is why I relocated them to other areas. He gets along well with his mother, Dahn, and Victor, and he is friendly and approachable towards me. I moved Talib together with Dahn and Victor to a separate area.

Activity Report - September 2023

Darla and Mona, who were bitten last month, have recovered. Darla is back in her old area, and Mona now lives with Zola, Cookie, and Jack in a separate area. Merlin's bite wounds have also healed, but I continue to administer Doxycycline and Ferric to him because he's anemic and has lost weight. Luna has completed her Doxycycline/Ferric treatment. She has gained weight and integrated well into the double-gate area. I will keep her at the shelter and not return her to the beach.

Tinka was bitten by a scorpion and couldn't stand for two weeks. Her mobility has now almost fully recovered. Dang is back with his caregivers after a one-month clinic stay. His amputation wound has completely healed, and Dang is enjoying life again. Lai, who underwent a two-month TVT treatment, has also been sterilized and is back with her caregiver.
