Activity Report - August 2023

During my routine visit to the temple dogs, I noticed that Saddhu had injured one of his front legs. At the clinic, they ruled out a serious injury, and after a few days, I was able to bring Saddhu back to the beach.

Darla had wandered into a neighboring area and got bitten. Mona was also attacked, but both dogs are on the road to recovery. Earlier this month, Tibor, Tarik, Tasha, and Tina were all sterilized, and they have all bounced back well from the procedure.

Luna, who has been living on Baan Amphur Beach for years, tested positive for Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. To provide her with long-term treatment, I placed her in the shelter.

Lai completed her sixth and temporary final Vincristine treatment and won't need another checkup for a month. I brought Demi, who has been sharing her life with her mother Amy and four siblings in a certain area for almost three years, into the house. She had suffered a bite wound and was frequently bothered by her siblings. Demi's integration into the household dog community was successful.

Unfortunately, Toya was fatally bitten. She and her sister Zola had a confrontation with Nuri, who only sustained minor bite injuries. I subsequently separated Zola. Dam apparently succumbed to heatstroke; I found her in the TVT station without any injuries.

Dang was temporarily released and returned to her caregivers. However, when I brought her back to the clinic for a follow-up three days later, it was discovered that she had removed her bandage, even though she had been wearing a cone. X-rays revealed that she had ingested the bandage, so Dang will remain in the clinic for the time being.

Jake's treatment with Doxycycline has been discontinued after two months, as there hasn't been significant improvement in the quality of his blood. Jake is now receiving Probiotics and Neurobion, as well as continuing with Ferric. Although he is eating, he remains severely underweight.
