Activity report - March 2024

In the first weeks of the month, I visited the temple every three days to check on Talo, Talib, and Dahn. With each visit, I got the impression that their relocation was progressing successfully. Since Maggie and Safo repeatedly broke out of their areas into the open, I temporarily placed them with Kenji. From there, Maggie managed to reach a neighboring enclosure after a few days and was killed by the dogs there. Consequently, I moved Safo back to his original area, from which he now regularly escapes again. 

Rita returned to her puppies Sharkey, Bella, and Randy after a successful TVT treatment. The four dogs stay together in Pong Park. Mid-month, Leo was presumably killed by Tarik and Tibor. Leo, apart from these two young males, was the only other male in the pack. Yaya, a dog from Pong Park, fell ill, so I took her into the shelter until the end of the month and provided her with medication. 

Girly, Elly, and Shorty had a visit from a large cobra in their area. The dogs killed the cobra but were spat in the eyes by it in the process. To treat the three dogs better, I moved them to the TVT station. At the end of the month, I took Lena to Dr. Oi. Lena had lost weight over the past two weeks. A test revealed liver damage and a decreased number of blood platelets. Lena stayed in the clinic for three days.
